#IBelieveYou

#IBelieveYou

#IBelieveYou is a campaign to help you understand the powerful role you can play in the life of a sexual assault survivor and our community.

Survivors who get a positive response when they tell someone are more likely to get help and seek justice. That makes your community healthier and safer for everyone.

You can help break the silence with three simple words:
I believe you.

Confused About What Consent Looks Like?

Consensual Sex
Having consensual sex is better for all parties involved. This quick video compares sexual consent to drinking a cup of tea. The idea of consent really is that simple!

Remember these simple rules are to avoid miscommunication, confusion, and blurred lines:
  • Always be clear about your intentions.
  • Never force someone into anything they are uncomfortable doing.
  • People are allowed to change their minds; this does not entitle anyone to force them into anything based off of previous consent.
  • No really does mean no!

Sexual Violence Support

The Concordia Students' Association, in conjunction with Concordia University of Edmonton, provides all-encompassing support for various student needs, including those that involve sexual violence. Concordia has a zero tolerance policy for sexual violence on campus.

If you are in need of support, please contact our VP Student Life and Learning:
