Meet Shanelle

Vice President Academic
My name is Shanelle Potolicki, and I am the VP Academic for Concordia Students’ Association (CSA). In my position, I handle all academic matters relating to undergraduate students at CUE. One aspect of my role is having the opportunity to sit on various university committees. These include the Scholarship and Awards Committee, the Academic Standards Committee, the Advisory Committee for the Office of Extension and Culture (ACEC), and the Online Course Review Committee. I am also one out of two CSA representatives who sits on the General Faculties Council.
Within the CSA, I am a part of various CSA committees, and I chair the CSA Policy and Governance Committee. Aside from sitting on these committees, some of my other tasks as VP Academic include working to address undergraduate student grievances and academic appeals, and also being the CEO of The BOLT News. Aside from the day-to-day tasks, the CSA is also a member of the Alberta Students’ Executive Council (ASEC). This is a provincial advocacy organization which represents various post-secondary institutions in Alberta. As the CSA VP Academic, I have the opportunity of being the CSA’s voting delegate at ASEC’s Delegate Meetings. For the upcoming year, I look forward to connecting with other students and working to support them in any way I can so that their year is the best that it can be!
